MeTA1: Local Delivery Agent

MeTA1 is intended to be used as a secure and efficient mail gateway. The current version of MeTA1 does not provide a local delivery agent. The documentation describes some programs that can be used for these purposes. Here is a brief (but incomplete) list of possible local delivery agents:

• mail.local from sendmail 8.
• procmail (see the MeTA1 documentation about available patches for procmail 3.22)
• Cyrus project
• Dovecot includes an LMTP server
