MeTA1 1.0.Alpha3.0 is available for testing. This version fixes a bug in the (still experimental) session reuse code, as well as some other minor problems.

Changes compared to MeTA1 1.0.Alpha2.0

2011-06-22 Access map entries with tag "cltaddr" or "cltname" with the RHS "reject" previously caused smtps to abort the session with a 421 error. Now they work the same way as entries with the RHS "error:550 5.7.0 Rejected."
2011-06-15 If the (still experimental) reuse_connection flag was set and an SMTP session in smtpc encountered an I/O error, the session was not closed, thus causing all subsequent attempts to reuse it to fail.
2011-06-02 The installer is now more strict in recognizing section titles to avoid creating bogus logfiles. This should only affect someone who modifies the installer itself.
2011-06-01 Some statistics output contained the word "Requests" which was changed to "Sessions" to match the SMTP terminology.

Errata

2011-07-06 Fix regression: adaptive timeouts for LMTP responses to the end of a message were broken when those timeouts were extended for other protocol stages.
