MeTA1 1.0.Alpha7.0 is available for testing.
This version introduces some new features,
e.g., detailed timings for smtpc,
and fixes a few bugs,
most notably a protocol violation for reuse_connection
(which is still marked as experimental in the documentation
--
please test this option).
For details see the release notes below.

New option -S for mailq to match on sender addresses; -R is now only
for recipient addresses.
- 2011-10-18
To turn off delay warnings (`delayed DSN') the option queue_delay_timeout
can now also simply be set to 0.
- 2011-10-18
If reuse_connection is used it is necessary to send an RSET command
after a failed transaction to properly reset the SMTP state.
- 2011-10-18
A transaction with many recipients could trigger an internal protocol
error in the communication from smtps to qmgr and hence a restart of
both.
- 2011-10-14
Even if queue_return_timeout and queue_delay_timeout are set to the
same value (which should not be done, but is currently allowed),
do not generate a DSN that mixed 'delayed' and 'failed' information.
- 2011-10-11
"timing" is a new smtpc flag which is available if the compile time
option SC_STATS is used. It logs the time it takes to complete most
steps the SMTP dialogue (in microseconds), e.g.,
func=sc_data, ..., t_connect=2792, t_ehlo=2240, t_starttls=396355,
t_mail=420, t_rcpts=20, t_data=7333, t_msg=326, t_eom=10948, size=219,
stat=0, reply=250 ok
