MeTA1 1.0.Alpha22.0 is available for testing.
It mostly fixes IPv6 related deficiencies,
but also adds new features for TLS (Digest)
and mcp (failure_max).
The source code distribution and the PGP signature are available at:

A new option Digest is available for the tls section to specify the
digest to use to calculate the fingerprint of a cert; the default
is sha1.

smtpc treats requirements_violation=permfail; in tls_requirements
now correctly as permanent failure (previously it displayed a
permanent failure but returned a temporary failure to qmgr).
Note: selecting this option might not always be useful, esp. if
there are multiple MX servers, as a failure with one of them will
be immediately "fatal" (i.e., trigger a DSN).

On hybrid dual-stack architectures, IPv4 addresses can be mapped
into IPv6 addresses. Support for this is available when the compile
time option MTA_NETINET6 is set to 2, e.g., using something like:
CPPFLAGS="-DMTA_NETINET6=2" ./configure
Based on patch from Matthias Waechter.
- 2014-02-25
Allow [IPv6:...] as EHLO domain.
Problem noticed by Matthias Waechter.
- 2014-02-25
Override MAXHOSTNAMELEN if it is less than 256.
Problem noticed by Matthias Waechter.
- 2014-02-19
A patch for procmail-3.22 to avoid causing an exit(EX_OSERROR) if
the (LMTP) client does not read the reply to QUIT (as smtpc does
by default) has been added: contrib/procmail.quit.p1
- 2014-02-18
A new option failure_max has been added for mcp which can be used
to override the builtin limit for service failures. This can be
useful for services that are started for individual requests but
may fail in various ways. By setting the value to 0, mcp will still
restart the service for each request.
